Carlos Bulosan was a Filipino-American Novelist and Poet whose semi-autobiographical book “America is in the Heart” captures the migratory experience of the manong generation. It is highly regarded as the premier text of documented Filipino-American history.

FYP Houston invites you for a book discussion as we remind ourselves of what early Filipinos (as well other immigrants) first encountered in their first steps in America.
