FYP is a nonprofit organization, currently applying to be a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt nonprofit organization with the United States Internal Revenue Service. As such, it aims for good standing, not only among its members and donors, but with the entire community. FYP hopes that, through its transparency–financial accountability and an openess in its missions and programs, it can maintain public trust and public confidence.
